Blast Furnace Thermal System

Thermal system in blast furnace project include blower station, cold air, steam and compressed air devices.

The axial flow blower has the advantages of high flow rate, high efficiency, wide operation area, light weight, small size, etc., which can be adapted to the operating requirements of the blast furnace with changing conditions. The drive of the blower is mainly electric, steam and BPRT (gas turbine and motor coaxial drive of the blast furnace blower energy recovery complete set).

The main controls of the blower are air volume, air pressure , anti-surge control, air pressure limitation, backflow protection, vacuum pressure limitation, etc.

Blower station automatic air release valve, lubricating station, oil station, etc. are generally supplied in sets with the blower. The main equipments supporting the blower station factory design are self-cleaning air filter, air release muffler, check valve, air valve, pipeline compensator, etc. In the rainy and humidity area, in order to get the effect of increasing production and reducing consumption, spraying more pulverized coal, stabilizing combustion and so on, it can be equipped with air dehumidification device.

The blower station is equipped with bridge-type crane and other corresponding maintenance facilities. The control system of the blower station consists of DCS/PLC to complete the centralized monitoring, regulation control and chain protection of the operating parameters of each process of start-up, operation and shutdown of the unit. The electric blower adopts frequency conversion soft start and synchronized grid-connected way to start the unit.

The compressed air users are mainly for slag treatment system, pre-furnace equipment, blowing and repair, pump room filter backwashing, pneumatic valve and instrument air and blower station automatic air release valve air. If the blast furnace adopts high pressure gas for pneumatic openers and coal injection, an independent compressed air station can be set up in the blast furnace area.

The pipeline of cold air, compressed air is generally used for overhead laying, equipped with pipeline compensator.
