New-product: 1100MPa High-strength Solid Wire
At present, there isn’t a matching welding material with the1100MPa high-strength steel plate, most of the industry is forced to use 900MPa grade wire, in the design to avoid the welding joint force, which brings more trouble to the equipment design, but also is the main factor to restrict the large-scale application of ultra-high-strength steel.
Nangang Steel and the New Materials Research Institute jointly developed 1100MPa solid high-strength wire made a major breakthrough, the product yield strength of the molten metal, tensile strength, mechanical properties to fully meet the 1100MPa high-strength steel plate and other strong matching requirements, the development of this product, to fill the gaps in the domestic 1100MPa level of high-strength solid wire, is the first of its kind in China.
New Engineering Record: 5500 T Blast Furnace Relocated
June 5 A blast furnace weighing 5,500 tonnes was successfully pushed 54 metres into position, setting a new world record for blast furnace pushing; on June 6, the hot blast furnace was ignited and baked.
Under the premise of fully utilising the existing equipment and facilities, the project adopts the overall blast furnace with foundation shift scheme, and the total weight of pushing reaches 5,500 tonnes through the hydraulic pushing technology. The overall transfer programme of this blast furnace with load and foundation is carried out while the engineering team overcomes the difficult winter construction conditions, high safety risk, narrow construction site, construction complex and other difficulties, the new blast furnace with foundation is overall transferred to the original blast furnace location, the period of furnace shutdown to put into operation is shorten to less than 4 months, and effectively reduce the furnace shutdown brought about by the loss of benefits.
