Strip steel is extremely versatile, mainly used in the automotive industry, machinery manufacturing industry, construction, steel structures, daily hardware and other fields, and is the raw material for cold-rolled strip, cold-formed steel, welded steel pipes and other steel. Strip steel has the advantages of high dimensional accuracy, good surface quality, easy processing and material saving.
For example, Q195-Q345 steel and other grades of strip steel can be used for welded pipes; 10#-40# strip steel are to make precision pipes; 45#-60# strip steel are common materials of blades, stationery, tape measures; 40Mn, 45Mn, 50Mn and 45B steel grade can be made into chains, chain blades, stationery, knives and saws; 65Mn and 60Si2Mn are as materials of springs, saw blades, clutch leaf plates, clockwork; saw blade; scalpels, razor blades are made of T8A and T10A steel. In addition, there are bicycle frames, wheel rims, door and window hinges, handles, and containers (SPA-H), etc.
Strip steel is divided into ordinary strip steel and high quality strip steel; according to the processing method, there are two kinds of hot strip and cold strip. Typical processes for cold strip steel are: pickling – cold rolling – annealing – cold rolling – slitting – forming heat treatment.
