Roll Roughening Treatment

In other to acquire sheet performances, cold rolling thin sheet process uses the rolls after roughening treatment, through the laser or other methods make the surface of the roll uneven and rough with lots of tiny bump and tiny dent. The contact state between the roll and the sheet is changed after roughening, and it is transformed from two glossy surfaces to one glossy   and roughing surface, and the friction coefficient is obviously improved under the action of rolling force, and the surface of the roll after laser processing is formed by laser melting, modeling and rapid cooling, which can make the surface hardness of the roll up to about 1000HV and obviously improve the wear resistance of the roll. There are also other advantages like:

  1. Increase rolling speed and reduce rolling force.
  2. Reduce the scratches and edge waves brought by slipping, which is conducive to improving the quality of plate shape.
  3. Due to the improvement of roll wear resistance, it can extend the time of roll change and extend the life of rolls to ensure the output of the mill
  4. The gap and friction between roughened rolls and sheet increases, reducing the paste among sheets. The small pits on the surface of steel sheet are not connected to each other, which is conducive to storing oil and capturing metal debris when stamping process, able to prevent  stamping scratches, ensure the surface finish of the stamped parts and reducing the stamping oil consumption.
