The machine vision technology can realize the inspections of hot rolled sheet product such as flatness, head shape, oxide skin thickness, billet convexity after rough rolling, billet size, billet deflection, product shape between finishing stands, in-line finishing roll roughness, and flat shape, whole inspection efficiency and data consistency can be greatly improved.

In cold rolled strip and treatment lines, the machine vision may detect flat shape, flatness and size, surface defects, surface roughness, amount of oxide skin, welding defects, strength of welded joints, amount of oiling, shape of welded parts, internal stress of plates, shape of coils, surface finish of steel plates in plating lines, size and finish of patterns in hot dip galvanizing lines, temperature, etc.

In medium thick plate line, the machine view can show the flatness of steel plate, steel plate surface and back defects, steel plate side and section defects, steel plate deformation (hot state, cold state), closeness, rust removal, surface roughness, flip detection, flat shape and size detection, temperature, etc.

The Machine vision in tube rolling process can measure weld seam, straightness, mandrel wear degree, online measurement of mandrel surface defects and pits, steel counting, flat shape and size detection, internal and external surface defects of UOE tubes, defect discrimination automation, etc.

Machine vision in profile rolling detects heavy rail surface defects, identifies characters, measures flat shapes and dimensions.
