Blast Furnace Water System

Blast furnace water system mainly divides into soft replenishment water, closed-circuit soft water , purified circulating water, straight water, slag treatment water, and blower station purified circulating water system (steam blower station is equipped with desalinated water supply and regeneration waste liquid drainage system), and in addition, the fire-fighting water, rainwater and living drainage system shall be arranged reasonably.

  1. Soft water consumption is generally considered as 0.5% of the total circulating water. The external soft water capacity is insufficient in case of emergency, there are measures to artificially replenish the purified water into the soft water storage tank.
  2. Soft water closed loop cooling water system serves for furnace cooling wall, furnace bottom, direct blowing pipe, hot air valve, main pumps etc, circulation rate of up to 99.95%. That sets diesel pumps to secure water supply of the main circulating pump, the diesel pumps automatically put into operation if an accident occurs or the power outage. In this system installed cooling water pump, accident diesel engine pump, wind mouth high-pressure water pump, hot air valve and wind mouth medium pressure water pump, evaporative cooler and dosing device, crane, valves and so on.
  3. Non-contact circulating water is used for evaporative cooler spraying, hydraulic station, air conditioning, coal spraying equipment, dust removal fan, etc. The main devices are cooling pump, HP pump, integrated pump, cooling tower, bypass filter pump, bypass sand filter, backwash water regulating pool mixer, dosing device, crane and so on.
  4. Direct flow water is ready for furnace throat, wind mouth accident water and iron field, equipped with full-automatic purification device, pump and so on.
  5. The main circulating pumping station is with a water treatment system and  maintenance cranes, etc.
  6. Dry slag pit has circulating water and supplementary water. There are pumps, slag pumps (slurry pumps), pneumatic lifting devices, booster pumps, sedimentation tanks and circulating pools, circulating water pump room and so on.
  7. Fire-fighting and domestic water supply are generally accessed by the industrial water network of the plant and connected to each workshop, forming a ring pipe network in the blast furnace project area; the drainage of the blast furnace area generally adopts the diversion system, and the domestic sewage after treatment is discharged into the drainage network of the plant.
