Steel structural parts workshop needs a variety of equipment or lathes to complete the cutting, molding, welding and surface treatment of various shapes of steel structural parts such as motor vehicle chassis, cabinets, power transmission tower parts, and road light poles. Generally, there are nine types of devices to perform different machining task.
1. Cutting machine:
– Laser cutting machine: for cutting metal sheets with high precision.
– Plasma cutting machine: suitable for cutting thicker metal sheets.
– Plate shears: for cutting metal plates.
2. Molding device:
– Bending machine: Used to bend metal sheets into desired shapes.
– Rolling machine: used to roll the sheet metal into arc or round shape.
3. Welding machine:
– Arc Welding Machine: For welding metal parts.
– Gas-shielded welding machine (MIG/MAG welding machine): for high quality welding.
– Spot Welder: For spot welding connections.
4. Machining centers:
– CNC (numerically controlled) machines: for high precision machining of complex shaped parts.
– Milling machines: for flat and contour machining.
– Lathe: for machining of rotating parts.
5. Surface treatment device:
– Sand blasting machines: for cleaning and roughening surfaces.
– Spraying machine: for spraying anti-rust paint and top coat.
– Plating device: for surface plating treatment.
6. Inspection instrument:
– Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM): for high precision measurement and inspection.
– Ultrasonic Flaw Detector: For detecting welding defects.
– Durometer: for measuring material hardness.
7. Assembly equipment:
– Converyor: such as crane, forklift, etc., for handling and assembling heavy parts.
– Assembly line equipment: including belts, fixtures, etc.
8. Other auxiliary equipment:
– Air compressor: to provide compressed air.
– Cooling system: used to cool the high temperature parts during processing.
