On March 15, 2018, the SME management and technical team successfully conducted the hot test run of a 300,000 TPA rebar production line for a Sudanese company. The operation agreement is set to take effect on April 1, 2018.
The production line manufactures rebar in sizes ranging from ⊿8mm to ⊿32mm, using billets measuring 100×100mm to 150×150mm. The annual production capacity is 300,000 tons.
