Strip Mill

SME specializes in steel hot/ cold rolling line and provides whole solution of strip production line from scrap (carbon steel and stainless steel) to high quality steel strips by the customer’s requirements. Brief process of the strip production involves melting scrap in the EAF, then refining liquid steel in the ladle furnace to achieve the desired chemical composition and temperature, next the refined steel is cast into slabs. In roling process, the slab is reheated to appropriate temperature before rolling. Finally, the strip is coiled for storage and transportation. Depending on the end-use, the strip may undergo further processing such as pickling,annealing, galvanizing, color coating to enhance its surface quality and mechanical properties.
