On January 20th, the VP of SME group visited local companies in Nigeria. During his visit, SME Group signed the contract with Nigerian Company for a 40,000TPA induction furnace steel melting project.
On December 3rd, the general manager from DE Steel visited SME headquarter for their proposed 20,000 TPA steel making project and 75,000 TPA rolling mill. Trusting SME＊s abundant general contracting experience in Ethiopia, he showed interest in developing long-term cooperation with SME.
From Nov 24th to Nov 26th, 2014, SME technical team together with Party A went to Thailand and held a kick-off meeting with Danieli Thailand regarding the 260,000TPA Melt-shop–Billet to be constructed in Nigeria. On September, 3rd, representatives from Iran K&S Steel visited SME headquarter.Both sides discussed the proposed project of 300,000 TPA induction furnace steel-making and rolling mill with final product alloy steel & normal steel.Later the customer was invited to visit manufacturing plants of SME Group.
On May 30th, SME production management team successfully ran the hot commissioning of 300,000TPA rebar& wire rod line for a Nigerian company, and the operation service agreement will be executed from June 1st, 2014.
In November 2013, SME General manager signed the operation service agreement with Steely Factory for the 180,000TPA steel rolling line after the production line＊s successful test-running in October.
SME dispatched 110 personnel to a steel factory in Nigeria for operating & managing a 250,000t steel rolling production line in September, 2013. It will last 2 years according to the agreement and SME will also train the local personnel for the production line.
On October 10th, SME general manager signed the sales contract of 300,000TPA rebar production line with Leader Group in Khartoum, Sudan.
In August, SME Group has executed the Nigeria 132 kVA substation contract which was signed in June 2013 as an EPC project.
In June, more than 100 persons of SME engineering& operating team were dispatched to Algeria. They were under the production management service contract to operate and manage a project of 400,000t bar production for one local company.
