On January 20th, the Vice President of SME Group visited several local companies in Nigerian. During his visit, SME Group signed contract with a Nigerian Company for a 40,000TPA induction furnace steel melting project.
On September 3rd, representatives from Iran K&S Steel visited SME headquarters. Both parties discussed the proposed project for a 300,000 TPA induction furnace steel-making and rolling mill with final product alloy steel and normal steel. Subsequently, the customer was invited to visit the manufacturing plants of the SME Group.
In November 2013, the SME General Manager signed an operation service agreement with Steely Factory for the 180,000 TPA steel rolling line in Ethiopia after the successful test run of the production line in October.
In September 2013, SME deployed 110 personnel to a steel factory in Nigeria to operate and manage a 250,000 ton steel rolling production line. The project will last 2 years under the agreement and includes training local personnel for the production line.
On December 10th, SME’s general manager signed a sales contract of 300,000 TPA rebar production line with Leader Group in Khartoum, Sudan.
In August, SME Group executed the Nigeria 132 kVA substation contract which is an EPC project signed in June 2013.
