On May 30th, SME’s production management team successfully ran the hot commissioning of the 300,000 TPA rebar and wire rod line for a Nigerian company. The operation service agreement has taken effect since June 1st, 2014.
In November 2013, the SME General Manager signed an operation service agreement with Steely Factory for the 180,000 TPA steel rolling line in Ethiopia after the successful test run of the production line in October.
In September 2013, SME deployed 110 personnel to a steel factory in Nigeria to operate and manage a 250,000 ton steel rolling production line. The project will last 2 years under the agreement and includes training local personnel for the production line.
On December 10th, SME’s general manager signed a sales contract of 300,000 TPA rebar production line with Leader Group in Khartoum, Sudan.
In August, SME Group executed the Nigeria 132 kVA substation contract which is an EPC project signed in June 2013.
In June, over 100 members of SME engineering & operating team were dispatched to Algeria. They were under a production management service contract to operate and manage a 400,000 ton bar production project for a local company.
On September 6th, 2011, the SME Group signed a sales contract with an Ethiopian company for a turn-key project involving a 180,000 TPA rebar and wire rod production line; the first shipment of equipment is scheduled for delivery in early 2012.
On October 10th, 2010, the general manager of SME signed an operation agreement with a Sudanese client in Khartoum for a production line with a capacity of 300,000 TPA H-Section steel and 300,000 TPA wire rod & rebar.
In May 2010, Brazil RIGITE general manager visited SME headquarter and talked over the second stage investment project-seamless steel pipe production line with Department of production management of SME.
